ski (@juxnski) caps off a hot streak with seven, the latest project out now.

This one came out the #scfirst trenches. That tag is a firehose of first uploads and maybes, and every once in a while you pull a name that makes all the scrolling worth it. ski (@juxnski) is that pull.
He’s been on fire with the releases leading up to SEVEN, and the shorthand goes like this: Lil Uzi Vert on one side, Shy Glizzy on the other. Spell it out like that and you could really say he’s a mix of both worlds. Same way Luv Is Rage moved, he’ll touch base on relations, then get intricate if necessary.
The Glizzy side is the voice. What I cannot stop hearing is Shy Glizzy on Young Dolph’s “Make The World Go Round”: that light voice gliding over dark, heavy production, and somehow the clash IS the appeal. ski got that same thing going. Voice sits up top, bass sits low, and whatever happens between them is why I keep running it back.
Disfigured is the one I’ve had on repeat, and it’s the whole pitch in one track. He floats this sing-song flex, half rap half melody, daydreaming about flying his girl out somewhere tropical. Then the hook drops all of that and goes cold: flat delivery, repeating himself like a warning, and the last word out his mouth is the title. Playful to dead serious in one breath. That’s the Uzi-to-Glizzy whiplash I’ve been describing, and he does it without breaking stride.
SEVEN is a compilation, and the latest additions to the project really showcase the artist’s trajectory and growth in a short period of time.
